You want to explore Trinidad & Tobago: good idea. And
Discover Trinidad and Tobago will help you to make the most of it.
Discover Trinidad & Tobago, published since 1991 by Media and
Editorial Projects Ltd (MEP)
and celebrating our 20th issue with the 2009 print edition, is one of the most trusted guides to Trinidad
& Tobago for tourists and locals alike, simply because it is produced by people who know this
country and care about getting it right. Our experienced team of
writers, editors and photographers come from varied backgrounds and
perspectives: some born and raised in Tobago or Trinidad, others who
have come from across the globe and fallen in love with
these islands and people.
Discover Trinidad & Tobago is the leading and most comprehensive guide to Trinidad and Tobago, supported by the country's leading
hotels, restaurants, tour operators and other tourism enterprises. The print edition of
Discover is published each November in time for London's World Travel Market in a handy, portable and
easy-to-carry format. The annual print edition is available free both locally and internationally at service providers and travel establishments on the islands, as well as at embassies, consulates, travel agencies, and from trade missions abroad. The free online edition is updated throughout the year and also features some of our most popular features and articles from past editions. Whether you are a local, an expatriate, a first-time or return visitor, you are discovering a unique Caribbean country, where both islands stand apart from the rest of the Caribbean chain.
This island pride is well earned. Tobago is one of the few remaining Caribbean oases not overrun by tourism, with idyllic beaches and unspoilt rainforest.Trinidad, meanwhile, moves at a frenetic pace, from the driving rhythms of Carnival to a rapidly growing economy. In both islands, you will find an honesty, playfulness, warmth and independence that define the spirit of a nation, and an awe-inspiring natural environment.
These are our communities, our cities, our people, and our islands, and it is to these that Discover Trinidad & Tobago hopes to introduce you.So whether you are from a neighbouring town or a distant country, we welcome you. There is so much to discover!

The country’s tourism authorities operate an annual inspection and approvals
programme for tourism operators, including hotels and guest houses, tour operators,
tour guides and auto rental companies. It’s called Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Industry Certification (TTTIC). A special
logo is widely used to indicate tourism operators who have achieved this certification,
and to show that they have met all the high standards which visitors expect. A list of these is available both on our website and in the print edition of Discover (as available at press time). Current information on this programme can be found at the Go Trinidad & Tobago website,
the official tourism website for T&T, or from the Tourism Development
Company of Trinidad & Tobago (TDC). Advertising in Discover Trinidad and Tobago is open to
anybody. It does not imply
editorial endorsement, or TTTIC compliance; use of advertisers’ services is at your own discretion and
