About us

Media & Editorial Projects Ltd (MEP)

MEP was founded in 1990 (and incorporated in 1991) by veteran journalist Jeremy Taylor and Joanne Mendes, and now is one of the Caribbean’s longest-running and most respected publishing houses. With 30 years of serving local, regional, and multi-national clients (from corporations and state agencies to SMBs and NGOs), there are few in the region as well equipped to meet your publishing needs.

Based in Port of Spain, Trinidad, MEP’s perhaps best known as the publishers of high-quality Caribbean print and digital tourism, culture, and business magazines, like Caribbean Beat (the inflight magazine of Caribbean Airlines), CONTACT Business (for the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry & Commerce), Discover Trinidad & Tobago, and Parkite Sports (for the Queen’s Park Cricket Club). In addition to magazines, we also produce a range of corporate and company branding material — from brochures and newsletters, to annual reports and directories, and text and visual content for digital marketing campaigns. Outside of that core work, we publish and have distributed books of Caribbean interest through our book imprint, Prospect Press (founded in 1994).

After three decades, we are dedicated to being a stable and reliable publisher, but also agile and forward-looking, so that we can both meet and anticipate our clients’ needs. We continue to expand our print and digital offerings across platforms, as well as our international network of collaborators, so that we can help you tell your story and connect with your audience.
